Hello! We'll be holding a great 2 day sale for you.

Extensive Covid precautions will be taken: Masks must be worn at all times, hand sanitizer (or gloves) must be used, and social distancing must be practiced. We will let in the right amount to shop safely and then it will be 1 person in when 1 person leaves. It will be worth the precautions and the wait - please bring your patience.

For this 3 story indoor house, backyard & garage we will allow approximately 25 people at a time (30+% capacity), so please be patient!

North Berkeley The Alameda (2 blocks from Solano Av) - Full 5 bedroom home of beloved transit professional & peace activists who collected books (architectural, political, children's), art & political ephemera, textiles, ethnographic findings, violins & trumpet, vintage SLR cameras, early comics, Hotwheels redlines, collectibles, vintage rock & folk LP's, racks of clothing including Women's '80's vintage and so much more. 2 days, all must go!

Great collections of items from multiple generations include:

Photographic Equipment/Musical Equipment/Vintage LP's: Lots of vintage SLR cameras (Nikon, Kodak, Minolta) with many lenses. Musical offerings include child's violin, 2 early violins in case w/bows & FE Olds & Sons LA Super Olds trumpet. Featured LP's are stacks of quality vintage rock & folk in great condition, including some reggae & classical. A very nice boxed set of 'Songs for Political Action 1926-1953' is also on offer.

Collectibles: Cool collectibles include Hotwheels redline cars, Hotwheels Sizzlers racing set, early marbles, Vietnam helmet w/painted flower, Danish flatware by Raadvad Denmark, bell collection, Japanese dolls, early top hat & lots of early comics including Daredevil, Zapp, Sword of Sorcery, Dr. Strange, Iron Worlds, Swamp Thing, The Nazz, Trouble w/girls, etc. Also present are vintage Christmas decorations.

Electronics: Quality vintage audiophile items include Pioneer HMP 100 speakers, Garrard Type A Quadraflex turntable, Thorens TD 160 turntable, BSR CX-300 tape deck, Sony Stereocorder reel to reel player, KR 770 Kenwood receiver, Vizio 40" tv, Bose sound bar, Fender Bassman 25 tilting amp, printers, VHS players & lots more.

Books & Ephemera: A very nice selection of books are present including architectural, Japanese, Latino & African American historical, political, sci-fi paperback & vintage children's. Ephemera include lots of Bay Area political posters including some anti-war and vintage bumper stickers. There are also numerous vintage postcards, some in albums.

Clothing: There are racks of nice vintage clothing for men and women, including men's tshirts (Lrg-XL) & vintage outdoor wear. There is a great vintage men's green Burberry trench coat. Women's pieces include many items from the 1980's, as well as lots of shoes, scarves & hats.

Art: Many interesting art pieces are present, including etchings, lithographs, Turandot & The Santa Fe framed opera posters, Japanese watercolors (as found) & many political posters spanning the decades.

Furniture & Lighting: Good furniture include a 4 drawer low Danish mid century cabinet, multiple mod chairs, lots of vintage painted dressers, a great early rounded wooden bar cart, end tables, vintage butterfly chairs, beds & bedframes, dining table & chairs, futon & tons more. Lighting include multiple tall floor lamps & small vintage lamps.

Textiles: There are boxes of vintage fabric, nice throw blankets, bedding, & towels.

Housewares & Kitchenware: Lots of good houseware & kitchen items! A large collection of collectible Wallace china in the El Rancho pattern is available, including many divided plates & cups. Other kitchenware items include beer steins, Japanese bowls, cups & tea sets, and lots of cookware. Housewares include hand thrown ceramic pots & bowls, mod wooden serving pieces, vintage games, office equipment, Miele vacuum cleaner, Danny Kass snow board and tons of useful items.

Garage & Backyard Items: Many items are present, including potted plants, metal fire holder, a sit on top Venus 10 ocean kayak, green metal chaise lounge, redwood picnic table w/benches & patio furniture. Great garage items include a BMW R80/7 motorcycle with parts (needs repairs), motorcycle outfit, helmet & leather boots, Mach One old school GT BMX bike, Cannondale Synapse road bike 5964 & lots more!

Cash, credit card, Venmo & Paypal are accepted, home is secured and alarmed, please do not disturb residents or neighbors. Please note that VALUABLES are taken OFF SITE and brought back day of sale. Live feed security monitors are used on the premises at all times. You must carry out your own purchases including small & large pieces (we also recommend Lugg).
