Hello! We'll be holding a terrific 3 day sale for you.
Extensive Covid precautions will be taken: Masks must be worn at all times, hand sanitizer (or gloves) must be used, and social distancing must be practiced. We will let in the right amount to shop safely and then it will be 1 person in when 1 person leaves. It will be worth the precautions and the wait - please bring your patience.
For this great Indoor 3 story house & garage we will allow approximately 25 people at a time (30+% capacity), so please be patient!
Terrific collections of so many high quality, wonderful contemporary, antique & vintage items from a lifetime of collecting by two respected professors! Beautifully curated collection of tansu, art, hand tied rugs, Asian statuary, china, glass, jewelry & so much more. Literally something for everyone. This is one sale not to be missed!
Wonderful contents include:
Furniture & Lighting: Quality furniture (all in pristine condition) include multiple tansu small and large, 2 early Chinese red chests with gilded wood carved doors, 2 early lawyers bookcases, marble topped Bavarian ormolu rams head round table, cherry wood early intricate Bavarian desk & 4 high end modern orange leather chairs by KFF. Other great pieces include an amazing tall red & black lacquered high organizer with many drawers, multiple desks including an early oak roll top, mid century bar, very interesting Japanese high wardrobe, multiple early caned chairs & a small English wardrobe. Lighting include a terrific pair of mother of pearl inlaid column lamps, antique & modern desk lamps, a very pretty reverse painted early library table lamp & modern lamps including pretty tall modern lamp by Koncept.
Jewelry: A beautiful collection of jewelry is present. Quality pieces include fine jewelry & watches (Hamilton), sterling, early Native American bracelets, rings & pins, tons of beads including vintage, antique broaches, Victorian necklaces & pins, amber, carnelian & picture jasper. Beautiful beaded vintage purses are on offer, as are early French opera glasses.
Collectibles: A tremendous amount of beautiful items abound! Asian pieces include multiple foo dogs, early Buddha statuary & Quan Yin in various compositions (porcelain, wood, cement), a beautiful hand painted 6 panel screen, religious items, lacquerware, antique Japanese small writing desk, antique daguerreotypes & lots of stereopticons w/viewers. There is a very pretty set of sterling flatware by International in the Minuet pattern (71 pieces), as well as Chinese & Japanese wares including tea cups, vases, pots, charges. Decorative collectibles from world travels include lots of great ethnographic findings including Japanese masks, statuary & a phenomenal cobalt blue jardiniere. Also present is an incredible Victorian decoupaged 3 panel screen w/historic images.
Art: Very beautiful original art pieces & prints including listed artists (James Everett Stuart, Jochen Gerz, Hans Ticha, Oscar Gieberich, Roland Castellon) spanning the decades. Original oils on canvas, landscapes, seascapes, abstract, Japanese woodblock & photographic prints & a large silver with blackbird triptych. Multiple signed Hans Ticha prints in a variety of sizes & compositions, as well as original art by Keeyla Meadows. Also hand thrown ceramic pots by local artists. A very varied & beautiful collection.
Rugs & Textiles: A terrific collection of early hand tied rugs in varying sizes & conditions including multiple large & very beautiful (9' x 12') colorful Art Deco Chinese including Forbidden City motif. Other rugs include Hamadan, Balkan, Romanian & Indian Agra. Terrific vintage textiles include European linens, lace, embroidered pillowcases, vintage Mexican blankets, paisley, bedding, early quilts & vintage fabric.
Books (Library) & Audio: Multiple bookcases filled with a great selection of books including Feminism, Film & Media Studies, Technology, Gaming, Early & Contemporary Literature, Art & Design, History & Environmental Studies. There is also a large bookcase filled with quality cookbooks. Audio items include racks of CDs.
Housewares & Kitchenware: Quality pieces include Meissen plates & bowls, early etched glasses, cobalt blue stemware, tons of blue & white china, local artisan ceramics, hand thrown pottery, pots & pans, Espresso maker, tea pots & much more. Cash, credit card, Venmo & Paypal are accepted, home is secured and alarmed, please do not disturb residents or neighbors. Please note that VALUABLES are taken OFF SITE and brought back day of sale. Live feed security monitors are used on the premises at all times. You must carry out your own purchases including small & large pieces (we also recommend Lugg).
